Adani Green Commissions 37.5 MW Solar Plant in Gujarat

Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) has started a new 37.5 MW solar power plant in Khavda, Gujarat. With this addition, the company’s total renewable energy capacity has now reached 13,737.8 MW, further strengthening its role in India’s clean energy sector.

The plant began operations on March 29, 2025, at 8:19 a.m., after receiving the required approvals.

AGEL is India’s largest renewable energy company and a major player in the global clean energy transition. It develops and operates large-scale solar, wind, hybrid, and hydro-pumped storage power plants. The company aims to achieve 50 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030, supporting India’s goal of reducing carbon emissions.

In financial performance, AGEL reported a 92.2% increase in net profit to ₹492 crore in Q3 FY25, with a 3.1% rise in net sales to ₹2,286 crore compared to the same period last year.

However, the company’s stock price dropped by 1.10% to ₹949.05 on March 28, 2025.
