Vaibhav Suryavanshi Hits First-Ball Six on IPL Debut

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a young talent from Rajasthan Royals, made a sensational debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Saturday. At just 14 years old, he became the youngest player in IPL history to play in a match, and he did so with a bang.

In his very first ball in the IPL, Suryavanshi hit a massive six, joining an exclusive group of players who have launched their IPL careers with a six off the first ball. He faced Avesh Khan from Lucknow Super Giants and smashed the ball over the covers, leaving fans and teammates in awe.

Suryavanshi didn’t stop there. He went on to score 34 runs off just 20 balls, hitting 2 fours and 3 sixes, with a strike rate of 170. His performance was vital for Rajasthan Royals as he helped build an important 85-run partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal for the first wicket. This partnership gave RR a strong start in their chase of 181 runs.

Although his promising innings ended when he was stumped off Aiden Markram’s bowling, Suryavanshi’s debut performance made a lasting impression. His knock earned him a spot in the list of players who began their IPL careers with a six, including stars like Andre Russell, Carlos Brathwaite, and others.

In the match, Lucknow Super Giants batted first and scored 180/5, thanks to solid innings from Aiden Markram (66 runs off 45 balls) and Ayush Badoni (50 runs off 34 balls), plus a quick cameo from Abdul Samad (30* off 10 balls). Rajasthan Royals’ Wanindu Hasaranga was the best bowler, taking 2 wickets for 31 runs.
