Prince Harry Interview: King Charles ‘Hurt’ as Harry Criticises Royal Family Over Security

Prince Harry has upset his father, King Charles, after giving a TV interview where he spoke about losing a legal case over security in the UK. Harry said the King “won’t speak to me” but added that he still hopes they can reconcile.

Harry lost a court case where he had asked for taxpayer-funded security for himself and his family while visiting the UK. The court ruled against him, stating the decision had been reviewed fairly. Harry said he felt “sad” that he couldn’t bring his wife and children to his homeland safely.

After the court decision, Harry gave a 30-minute interview to the news report from California. In it, he strongly criticised the Royal Family, including King Charles, his brother Prince William, and stepmother Queen Camilla. This reaction surprised Buckingham Palace.

Before the interview aired, a friend of King Charles told The Sun that the King was upset not just about the comments, but because Harry didn’t respect the King’s belief that he should not interfere in legal matters. “It’s unfair to suggest the King doesn’t care about his family,” the insider said, adding that Charles is “a loving and generous man.”

Harry said he believes the system let him down and called the court ruling “an establishment stitch-up.” He also admitted that some family members “will never forgive me” for writing his book Spare and for other actions.

“I don’t want my father to interfere in the legal case,” Harry said. “I just asked him to let the experts handle it.”

Despite all this, Harry said he still wants peace. “Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has. It would be nice to reconcile,” he said.

Sources close to the Palace say that Harry’s legal battle and public comments have made things worse. The King believes issues like this should be handled by the Government and courts—not the Royal Family.
