Operation Sindoor IAF strikes Pakistan

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has carried out airstrikes on several military targets in Pakistan as part of a mission called “Operation Sindoor.” These strikes were a response to a recent terror attack in Pahalgam, India.

On Sunday, Air Marshal AK Bharti, who leads operations for the IAF, confirmed that the airstrikes targeted military sites in Karachi, including the Malir Cantt area. The IAF has stated that air defence actions are still happening as part of this counter-offensive. While India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire on Saturday, the IAF’s mission continues.

The targets of the airstrikes included several important airbases in Pakistan such as Chaklala, Rafiq, and Rahim Yar Khan. Other locations targeted included Sargodha, Bhulari, and Jacobabad.

The IAF released satellite images showing the damage done to terror camps and military airfields in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) during the operation. These images show before-and-after pictures of key locations, including the Jaish-e-Mohammad base in Bahawalpur and the Lashkar-e-Taiba camp in Muridke, both in Pakistan’s Punjab province. The strikes also damaged Pakistani air defence systems and military airfields.

The IAF emphasized that the operation was carried out with precision and professionalism, meeting India’s strategic goals and national interests. They stressed that this operation aimed to neutralize terrorist threats, deter aggression from Pakistan, and send a clear message about India’s commitment to fighting terrorism. At the same time, India has maintained strategic restraint and sought international support for its actions.
