Kia Carens Clavis

The 2025 Kia Carens Clavis is here, and it promises a more premium take on the popular Carens MPV. After a 350 km test drive, it’s clear this model pushes the Carens closer to SUV territory — in style, comfort, and features.

A Fresh Look That Stands Out

The Carens Clavis sports a bold new design. The front grille is aggressive, and the headlights have been redesigned for a sharper look. Squared wheel arches add toughness, giving the car an SUV vibe. At the back, new LED taillights make the car look modern and sleek. It’s hard not to notice it on the road.

Inside, It Feels More Premium

Step inside, and you’ll find real upgrades. The seats have premium upholstery that feels comfortable and looks good. The dashboard is redesigned, with screens that blend well and controls that are easier to use.

Features like a large touchscreen, ventilated seats (very useful in India’s heat), and a panoramic sunroof show Kia is serious about making this a premium ride. Plus, safety tech like advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) adds extra confidence.

How Does It Drive?

The Clavis shares the Carens’ engine options: petrol and diesel, with manual and automatic gearboxes. Our test drive was the diesel automatic. The engine feels smooth and responsive.

It handles city traffic and highways well, making it a good daily driver. The suspension is tuned for Indian roads, so bumps don’t ruin the ride. The Clavis also feels more stable and planted than the regular Carens.

Is the Price Tag Justified?

Here’s the big question. Is the premium badge worth the extra cost? For families who want a practical MPV but also want to enjoy SUV-like style and more luxury features, the Clavis hits the mark. It’s a versatile car with a touch of class. If you want a practical family car with a bit of flair, this could be the one.

The 2025 Kia Carens Clavis is a smart upgrade for those who loved the Carens but wanted more premium touches. It blends style, comfort, and performance well. It’s a clear step forward, and definitely worth a close look if you’re shopping in this segment.
