India has launched a big global anti-terror outreach effort. This diplomatic push comes right after the shocking Pahalgam terror attack. Seven parliamentary delegations are traveling to 33 countries and the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to share India’s clear message: terrorism will not be tolerated.
Why These 33 Countries?
The choice of these 33 countries is no accident. According to Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, around 15 are current members of the UNSC. This includes the five permanent members and others rotating in.
Five more countries on the list are expected to join the UNSC soon. Plus, India picked other influential nations whose voices matter in global decisions. The message is clear: India wants to engage with countries that can influence international policies on terrorism.
BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi explained this well. She said the list includes countries where India can best present its case and counter Pakistan’s false narrative. Pakistan is also a rotating UNSC member right now and will try to push anti-India propaganda for the next 17 months. India’s global outreach is a direct response to this challenge.

Pakistan’s Game and India’s Bold Reply

It’s a simple message: “We condemn terrorism in all forms, and we expose Pakistan’s support for terror.” As Sarangi put it, it’s our responsibility to speak up loud and clear.
This outreach is linked to Operation Sindoor, India’s swift and strong military response to the Pahalgam attack. Earlier this month, Indian forces struck terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. That operation sent a strong warning. Now, the diplomatic outreach aims to back that message with political and moral support worldwide.
Who’s Leading the Charge?
Seven delegations are on the move, led by top parliamentarians from all major parties. Names like Shashi Tharoor from Congress, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Baijayant Panda from BJP, Sanjay Kumar Jha from JDU, Supriya Sule from NCP, Shrikant Eknath Shinde from Shiv Sena, and Kanimozhi from DMK headline this mission.
Each delegation is tasked with meeting key political figures like prime ministers, foreign ministers, MPs, opposition leaders, journalists, intellectuals, and Indian diaspora communities.
This multi-level engagement is India’s way of ensuring that our anti-terror message reaches all important corners of the globe.
