Adani Wins ₹1,660 Cr Power Project in Maharashtra

Adani Energy Solutions (AESL) has won a big power project worth ₹1,660 crore in Maharashtra. This project will boost the power transmission system between states. It includes building substations with a total capacity of 3,000 Mega Volt-Amperes (MVA) and other important infrastructure. With this, AESL’s total transmission network will grow to 26,696 circuit kilometers and 93,236 MVA of capacity.

The project will be completed by January 2028 and is managed under a company called WRNES Talegaon Power Transmission Ltd, which now officially belongs to AESL. This project will help send 1.5 gigawatts (GW) of green energy from new hydro Pumped Storage Projects (PSPs) in the region. It will also help supply power to Mumbai and nearby areas.

AESL won the project through a competitive bidding process where companies offer the best price to complete the work. The bidding was managed by REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd (RECPDCL).

With this new project, AESL’s total order value for transmission work has reached around ₹61,600 crore.
