A shocking incident took place on Thursday inside the Saket court lockup, where an inmate named Aman was killed by two other prisoners. All three were from Tihar Jail Number 8 and had been brought to the court for a hearing.

According to the Delhi Police, the incident happened on June 5 in Lockup Number 5 at Saket Court. At that time, many undertrial prisoners (UTPs), including Aman, were present inside the lockup.
Police said that the attackers, identified as Jitender and Jaidev, assaulted Aman. The reason behind the attack seems to be an old dispute between Aman and Jitender.
Back in 2024, when they were outside jail, Aman had reportedly attacked Jitender and his brother with a knife. That incident had created strong enmity between them, which might have led to this deadly attack inside the lockup.
The police are investigating the matter further.
