Kalimullah Khan, also known as the ‘Mango Man’ of India, has introduced a new mango variety called ‘Rajnath Aam’, named after Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
Khan is a well-known horticulturist from Malihabad, Uttar Pradesh, and has received the Padma Shri award for his work in growing and developing different kinds of mangoes. Over the years, he has named several mango varieties after famous personalities like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Sachin Tendulkar, Aishwarya Rai, Akhilesh Yadav, and Sonia Gandhi.
Now, he has dedicated a mango variety to Rajnath Singh. According to reports, Khan was inspired by Singh’s strong leadership after the Pahalgam terror attack, which killed 26 people. He had always wanted to name a mango after Singh but was waiting for the right variety. Using his unique grafting technique, he developed the new mango in his orchard and named it ‘Rajnath Aam’.
Khan explained that he names mangoes after people who have made a meaningful contribution to the country. He hopes that naming mangoes after such leaders will help keep their legacy alive.
Speaking about Rajnath Singh, Khan said, “He is a balanced and thoughtful leader. When I recently heard him speak about Pakistan, I felt he truly wants peace, not war.”

Khan also blamed Pakistan for the Pahalgam attack but said things have improved now. He emphasized that dialogue and peace are the best solutions and that war only spreads hatred and causes suffering. “We are all human, and dividing ourselves only brings harm,” he added.
‘Rajnath Aam’ is not just a mango – it’s a symbol of respect for a leader who values peace and serves the nation with commitment.
