Apple is reportedly working on its first-ever foldable iPhone, with a possible launch set for 2026.

According to trusted industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple’s key manufacturing partner Foxconn may begin production by the end of 2025. While Apple hasn’t officially confirmed anything yet, the project is said to be in early development, with crucial details like the hinge mechanism still being finalized.

One major update is that Samsung Display is expected to supply the flexible screens for the device, possibly producing around 7 to 8 million panels. However, actual shipments in 2026 might be fewer due to limited production time. Apple is also rumored to place an initial order of 15 to 20 million units to cover sales over the next two to three years.

The foldable iPhone might feature a book-style design, including a 5.5-inch screen on the outside and a larger 7.8-inch display on the inside when unfolded. It’s also expected to have a strong metal hinge and a premium price tag of around \$2,300 (roughly ₹1,99,000). Although the final design is still under wraps and plans could change, Apple fans may finally see a foldable iPhone hit the market by autumn 2026.
