Meta has partnered with Oakley to launch the Oakley Meta HSTN, a new pair of AI-powered smart glasses designed especially for athletes and active users.

These glasses combine Oakley’s bold design with Meta’s advanced technology to offer a smarter, hands-free experience during sports and outdoor activities. One of the main highlights is a built-in 3K camera that allows users to record ultra-clear videos from their point of view without using their hands.

The glasses also feature open-ear speakers embedded in the frame, enabling users to listen to music, take calls, or hear training instructions while staying aware of their surroundings. With Meta’s built-in AI, users can access real-time information—such as checking the wind conditions or posting content online—using simple voice commands. The glasses are water-resistant (IPX4), making them suitable for rain or sweat, and offer up to 8 hours of battery life on a full charge.

A 20-minute quick charge can provide up to 50% battery, and the included charging case adds up to 48 extra hours. Inspired by Oakley’s popular HSTN frame, the design is both stylish and functional. The limited-edition version will be available for pre-order from July 11 at $499 (around ₹43,200), while a standard version starting at $399 (around ₹34,600) will launch later in the summer.

Initially, the glasses will be sold in countries like the US, UK, and several parts of Europe and Australia, with plans to expand to Mexico, India, and the UAE by the end of the year. This launch marks a major step for Meta in bringing AI into wearable tech, combining both smart features and sleek style for modern users.
