Bajel Projects

Bajel Projects has pulled off something big. The company just secured an ultra-mega order worth over ₹400 crore from PowerGrid Corporation of India. That’s not just a win—it’s a power move, literally.

As soon as the news dropped, Bajel Projects shares hit the 5% upper circuit. Investors are clearly excited, and for good reason.

What’s the Deal About?

The contract involves building a 400 kV double-circuit transmission line running around 138 km from Mahan to Rewa in Madhya Pradesh.

But that’s not all. The job also includes upgrading the 400 kV Rewa substation, making the entire region more energy-efficient and connected.

This setup will help transmit power from the Mahan Energen Limited Generating Station, plugging into India’s growing grid demand.

EPC Mode—No Room for Error

This isn’t a casual project. It’s a full-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) job. The timeline? Tight—just 29 months to get it all done.

That means Bajel Projects will be hands-on from start to finish, managing every nut, bolt, and transformer.

What the Boss Said

Rajesh Ganesh, MD & CEO of Bajel Projects, didn’t hold back:

“We are incredibly proud to have secured this ultra-mega order from PowerGrid Corporation of India. This project reflects our robust capabilities in executing large and complex power transmission projects, contributing to India’s energy infrastructure growth.”

Hard to argue with that confidence.

Why It Matters

For Bajel Projects, this order proves they can handle massive-scale infrastructure work. It boosts their standing in the industry and shows they’re not afraid of the big leagues.

PowerGrid, being a Maharatna company under India’s Ministry of Power, doesn’t just hand out such contracts lightly. The government owns over 51% of PowerGrid (source)—so every move is strategic.

Final Take

Bajel Projects has just cemented its place among the serious players in India’s power game. A ₹400+ crore ultra-mega contract, a tight 29-month deadline, and full-scale EPC delivery—it’s not just a win, it’s a statement.

Powering India’s future just got a fresh charge.
