India is set to see a big boost in job opportunities, especially in tech cities like Bengaluru and Hyderabad. According to a report by talent solutions firm ANSR, mid-sized Global Capability Centres (GCCs) are expected to create 40,000 new jobs by the end of 2026. This will raise the total workforce in this sector to over 2.6 lakh (260,000) people.
What Are GCCs?
GCCs are offices set up in India by foreign companies to handle business operations like IT, finance, and customer support. These mid-sized GCCs belong to companies that make between $300 million and $2 billion annually.

Growing Fast
About 120 new mid-sized GCCs are expected to be set up by 2026, especially in sectors like software, banking, insurance, retail, and finance.

In-Demand Job Roles
Companies are hiring for both tech and non-tech roles, such as:

- Non-Tech Roles: Finance and accounting, supply chain management, procurement.
Why Are Mid-Sized GCCs Growing?
These companies don’t have the massive budgets that big tech giants have, so they focus more on:
- Cost efficiency
- Quick setup and market entry
- Digital transformation goals
Data shows that from 2019 to 2024, mid-sized GCCs grew their talent pool by 46%, compared to 34% in larger GCCs. Hiring in this segment is increasing at a 10–12% annual rate, which is faster than the overall GCC industry average.
