Elon Musk

Elon Musk is angry — and this time, he’s aiming straight at Donald Trump.

On July 1, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO posted on X (formerly Twitter) that he may launch a new political party. He warned: “If this insane spending bill passes, the America Party will be formed the next day.”

If this insane spending bill passes, the America Party will be formed the next day.

Our country needs an alternative to the Democrat-Republican uniparty so that the people actually have a VOICE.

The bill he’s talking about? A record $5 trillion debt ceiling increase. Backed by Trump and moving quickly through Congress, it’s being pushed as a way to “boost the economy.” But Musk isn’t buying it.

“The Porky Pig Party”

Musk went full fire mode. In another post, he joked:
“It is obvious with the insane spending of this bill… that we live in a one-party country – the PORKY PIG PARTY!!”

It is obvious with the insane spending of this bill, which increases the debt ceiling by a record FIVE TRILLION DOLLARS that we live in a one-party country – the PORKY PIG PARTY!!

Time for a new political party that actually cares about the people.

— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) June 30, 2025

He slammed both Democrats and Republicans, calling them one big “uniparty”. According to him, America needs a real alternative that actually listens to people.

Targeting His Old Allies

What’s surprising? Musk even called out people he used to support.

He criticized lawmakers who campaigned on “cutting spending” but still backed this bill.
“They should hang their head in shame!” he wrote. “They will lose their primary next year if it’s the last thing I do.”

Even the conservative House Freedom Caucus wasn’t safe. Musk asked:
“How can you call yourself the Freedom Caucus if you vote for a DEBT SLAVERY bill?”

From Ally to Critic

This marks a shift in Musk’s relationship with Trump. Musk once had a role in Trump’s short-lived cost-cutting team. But now, that bond seems broken.

The bill’s timing — just before July 4th — added fuel to the fire. Trump wants it passed fast, but Musk is standing in the way.

What’s Next?

Will the America Party actually happen? Musk has teased ideas like this before. But his tone now feels different. He’s clearly frustrated and seems ready to act.

If passed, this bill could change more than the economy. It might just launch a new party — with Elon Musk leading the charge.
