Elon Musk-owned social media platform X (formerly called Twitter) faced a global outage again — for the second time in less than 24 hours.

According to Downdetector.com, a website that tracks service issues, users across the world reported problems with the platform.

  • 52% of users said they couldn’t use the app at all
  • 42% had trouble loading the website
  • 6% faced server-related issues

The outage started around 7:09 PM IST and peaked at 7:24 PM IST with nearly 17,000 reports of trouble using the platform.

So far, no official reason has been given by the company for the issue.

Users React Online

As expected, users turned to other platforms to talk about the outage. One user wrote, “Twitter/X is currently down for many users.”  Notifications, feed, tweets, DM section — nothing is loading.”
