2025 Bajaj Dominar 250, Dominar 400 Launched in India: Key Features, Prices

Bajaj Dominar is back in 2025 with a surprise. No design drama. No engine changes. But a fresh new weapon list to fight in the mid-size touring segment.

The Dominar 400 and Dominar 250 just got smarter, sharper, and a lot more serious. And here’s the twist: you still get them at the same price point. That’s right. While everything else in India gets more expensive, Bajaj just gave us more for the same.

Let’s break it down.

What’s New in the 2025 Bajaj Dominar?

The heart stays the same, but the brain just got an upgrade.

Both bikes now come with four riding modes – Rain, Road, Sport, and Off-Road. These modes change how the throttle and ABS behave, giving riders more control depending on weather and terrain.

The Dominar 400 now features ride-by-wire technology, giving a more precise throttle feel. The Dominar 250 sticks to a mechanical throttle but still gets the four-mode ABS system.

Also, both bikes now share the new digital LCD display from the Pulsar NS400Z. It’s full-color, clear, and bonded glass for that premium feel. There’s new switchgear too.

And because every Indian rider dreams of long rides, Bajaj didn’t stop there. Both Dominars now come with:

  • Revised handlebars for better comfort
  • A GPS/smartphone mount on the tank

What Stays the Same?

Bajaj didn’t touch the engines – and maybe that’s a good thing.

  • Dominar 400: 373 cc, 39 hp, 35 Nm, 6-speed gearbox
  • Dominar 250: 248 cc, 26 hp, 23 Nm, 6-speed gearbox

These engines are known for being refined and highway-ready. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Why This Matters

The fight in the touring segment is heating up. Riders want more tech, more comfort, and more value. With Royal Enfield, KTM, and Hero pushing hard, Bajaj had two options – play safe or play bold.

They went bold.

Instead of changing the look just for the sake of it, they kept what works and gave riders more features that actually matter. Better control. Better comfort. And no price hike.

At Rs 1.92 lakh for the Dominar 250 and Rs 2.39 lakh for the Dominar 400 (ex-showroom), this is one of the smartest updates in the Indian motorcycle scene this year.
