Big news for Indian car lovers. Tesla is finally here. The American electric car giant is opening its first experience center in Mumbai on July 15. It’s located in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), one of the most premium areas of the city. This marks Tesla’s formal entry into India’s auto scene.

There are strong rumours that Elon Musk might come to launch it. But nothing has been confirmed yet. Even without him, the opening is a huge moment. It shows Tesla is serious about the Indian market.

After Mumbai, Tesla may open its next center in New Delhi. It’s not just talk. As per Bloomberg, at least five Model Y units have already landed at Mumbai port. These are the rear-wheel drive versions made in Tesla’s Shanghai factory.

The message is clear: Tesla is not waiting anymore. It wants to set up shop, fast. India is the third-largest car market in the world. And Tesla knows it’s time to plug in.

Toyota Glanza gets a safer upgrade

Toyota is also making waves. The Glanza hatchback now comes with 6 airbags as standard. That’s a big step forward in terms of safety. But that’s not all.

Toyota has also launched a limited-time Prestige Package. It’s available only till July 31. This bundle adds cosmetic upgrades like chrome body mouldings, stylish door visors, rear lamp garnish, and illuminated door sills. There’s also a rear skid plate for a tougher look.

These extras are fitted by Toyota dealers and are optional. But they definitely make the car look more premium without breaking the bank.

Renault Boreal goes global

Renault has pulled the covers off its new SUV – the Boreal. This is a C-segment SUV packed with smart features. It comes with Google-powered OpenR Link infotainment, plus many advanced driver safety systems.

Renault plans to launch the Boreal in Latin America and Turkey by the end of 2025. Whether it will come to India or not is still unclear. But with the growing demand for mid-size SUVs here, it could be a smart move.

Tesla is finally moving fast in India. Toyota is pushing safety higher. And Renault is eyeing global growth. The Indian auto market is heating up, and global giants are taking note. The future looks electric, smart, and bold.
