Kia Carens Clavis EV is finally here. Launched in India at a starting price of ₹17.99 lakh, this is not just another electric car. It is the first electric RV (Recreational Vehicle) made in India by Kia. And it is packed with everything Indian drivers want — range, space, safety, speed, and style.
Variants and Battery Options
The Kia Carens Clavis EV comes in four variants — HTK Plus, HTX, ER HTX, and ER HTX Plus. Buyers can pick between two battery packs. The 42kWh pack offers a certified range of 404 km (MIDC), while the larger 51.4kWh version can go up to 490 km on one full charge.
You also get two motor choices. One delivers 99kW power and the other goes up to 126kW. Both offer 255Nm torque. The top-end variant can hit 0–100 kmph in just 8.4 seconds.
A new way to go the distance. Together.

Fast Charging and Safety
Charging is quick too. Kia claims the Carens Clavis EV can charge from 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes with a 100kW DC charger. It also supports V2L (Vehicle-to-Load), so you can power other devices from your car.
The EV is built for Indian conditions. It has a liquid-cooled battery that is tested for hot and rough roads. The battery is IP67-rated for water and dust protection. Ground clearance stands at 200mm.
Safety is sharp. ADAS Level 2 is onboard with features like Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Warning, and Smart Cruise Control. Six airbags, ESC, hill-start assist, all-wheel disc brakes, and rear occupant alerts come as standard.

Inside, the Carens Clavis EV brings comfort and tech. A big 26.62-inch screen covers both the cluster and infotainment. It also has a Bose 8-speaker system, ambient lighting, ventilated seats, and ‘Boss Mode’ for rear passengers.
Top variants get a dual-pane sunroof and electric tumble second-row seats. There’s even a frunk (front trunk) with 25-litre space for extra storage. It’s available in six colors, including a cool new Matte Ivory Silver.
Comfort isn’t just about space. It’s how the Carens Clavis makes every moment feel easier.
Front Ventilated Seats keep you cool and at ease from the first kilometre to the last. That’s comfort made for epic journeys.

Smart and Connected
This EV is smart too. With Kia Connect, you get 90 connected features like route planning with live charger status, charge alerts, remote AC control, and scheduled charging.
Kia also offers a Virtual Engine Sound System (VESS) to alert pedestrians. That’s a neat safety touch, especially for city driving.
Kia’s Bigger EV Push
To support the Carens Clavis EV, Kia now has over 11,000 charging points in India, 100+ fast-charging dealerships, and 250+ EV-ready workshops. Buyers also get ‘My Convenience e-Plus’ with video consults, service bundles, and pre-emptive alerts.
The Kia Carens Clavis EV shows that electric cars in India are getting serious, not boring. It’s bold, made for our roads, and fits real Indian needs. This isn’t just Kia’s first Indian EV — it’s a statement.
