The report highlights Syed Kamran Haider, the CEO of Mirpur Visa Consultant (MVC) in Pakistan-administered Kashmir. He is reportedly running the business openly online and even advertises tricks on how to get asylum in the UK.
MVC was found to be selling fake:

- Bank statements
- Job offer letters
One fake letter even came from a hospital that doesn’t exist, yet it still helped someone get a UK work visa.

UK immigration lawyer Harjap Bhangal says the UK immigration system is broken and easy to fool. He explained that many migrants claim asylum after arriving on a visa, allowing them to stay and work in the UK.
He said these consultants are “selling a dream” to people who don’t plan to return to Pakistan. The scam is very well-organized and targets people desperate to move abroad.

- In 2023, 10,542 Pakistanis applied for asylum in the UK — an 80% increase from the previous year.
- Even though Pakistanis aren’t among the top 10 nationalities crossing into the UK via small boats, the data suggests many are entering through legal visas using fake documents.
