A major accident took place on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway on Saturday afternoon when a speeding container truck lost control and crashed into a line of around 20 vehicles. The accident happened near the Adoshi tunnel in Raigad district, under the Khopoli police station.

According to the police, the truck’s brakes may have failed, which caused the driver to lose control. The truck then rammed into several cars, including luxury vehicles like BMWs and Mercedes-Benz.

Sadly, a woman died in the accident, and at least 18 others were injured. All the injured people were quickly taken to a private hospital in Navi Mumbai. One of them, a woman, later died from her injuries.
