On Saturday, Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport faced a data network problem. This issue caused delays in flight operations, including Air India flights.

The problem affected the airport’s check-in systems and delayed some flights from the busy airport. The good news is that the issue has now been fixed. However, some flights might still be delayed as things slowly get back to normal.

Air India shared on X (formerly Twitter) that a third-party data network outage caused the problem. They asked passengers to keep checking their flight status for updates.

Heavy Rain Causes Flight Delays at Delhi Airport

At the same time, Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) saw more than 300 flights delayed because of heavy rain on Saturday. There were no flight diversions reported.

Delhi’s weather department had issued a red alert early Saturday morning for heavy rain with lightning and thunderstorms in parts of the city. Later, this was lowered to a yellow alert, meaning people should stay careful.

In the last 24 hours, some parts of Delhi received a lot of rain — for example, 78.7 mm at Safdarjung, 100 mm at Pragati Maidan, and 80 mm at Lodhi Road.
