While global markets wobble and many lenders tread water, HDFC Bank—India’s biggest private sector bank—continues to sprint ahead.

In June 2025, HDFC Bank’s average deposits jumped 16% year-on-year, reaching a staggering ₹26.58 lakh crore. That’s not just a big number—it’s a loud signal of growing public confidence in the country’s financial backbone.

CASA Deposits: The Core Is Strong

One of the most telling signs of trust in a bank is CASA deposits—these are the low-cost funds from customers’ current and savings accounts.

And guess what? CASA deposits climbed 6.1% over the year to touch ₹8.60 lakh crore as of 30th June 2025. Meanwhile, period-end CASA deposits rose 8.5% to ₹9.37 lakh crore compared to last year.

People are not just saving more—they’re trusting HDFC Bank to keep their money safe.

Deposits, Advances, and Dominance

By the end of June 2025, HDFC Bank’s total deposits stood at ₹27.64 lakh crore. That’s up 16.2% from ₹23.79 lakh crore in June 2024. These are not just numbers—they reflect millions of Indian families and businesses choosing HDFC as their financial partner.

Even on the lending side, period-end gross advances rose 6.7% to ₹26.53 lakh crore, showing steady credit growth.

In fact, if you include things like inter-bank deals and assignments, the average advances under management rose 8.3%, hitting ₹27.42 lakh crore. That’s how you know the engine is still humming.

The Branch Network Is Still Growing

Unlike some players going digital-only, HDFC Bank is expanding physically too. As of 31 March 2025, it had 9,455 branches and over 21,000 ATMs across more than 4,150 cities and towns. This is up from 8,738 branches a year ago.

More branches mean more people are being brought into the banking fold. Financial inclusion in motion.

These numbers tell a deeper story. In a time where public faith in institutions is shaky, HDFC Bank is quietly becoming a symbol of consistency, security, and scale.

And that’s rare.

Growth like this doesn’t happen by accident—it happens when people believe the bank has their back.
