Elon Musk’s company, Tesla, has opened a unique new diner in Los Angeles, California. This new spot is located on Santa Monica Boulevard and mixes the classic look of an old American diner with modern Tesla technology.
What Makes the Tesla Diner Special?
The diner, called a “retro-futuristic” place, offers comfort food like burgers, hot dogs, chicken wings, and milkshakes. The food is served in fun boxes shaped like Tesla’s Cybertruck. There’s also a drive-in movie theater with large outdoor screens, where customers can watch movies while sitting in their Tesla cars. The sound plays directly through the car’s speakers.

Order While You Charge
One of the coolest features is that Tesla owners can order food directly from their car’s screen while their vehicle is charging. The diner has 80 Superchargers, so customers can enjoy food and entertainment while their EVs power up.

Musk Plans More Diners Worldwide
Elon Musk recently shared a video of the diner on X (formerly Twitter) and praised the Tesla team for their work. He also hinted at opening more of these diners in big cities and along long-distance travel routes worldwide. He described the concept as “an island of good food, good vibes, and entertainment, all while Supercharging.”
The Idea Started in 2018
Musk first mentioned this diner idea back in 2018. He had tweeted about building a drive-in restaurant with roller skates and rock music at a Supercharger site in LA. Construction began in late 2023, and now the vision is a reality.

A Tech Lover’s Dream
Adding to the excitement, Tesla’s humanoid robot, Optimus, was seen serving popcorn at the diner. This was shared in a video by tech content creator Jacklyn Dallas, who called the diner a “paradise for tech lovers.”
The two-story diner also features a rooftop seating area, offering food, fun, and Tesla tech all in one place.
