Amitabh Bachchan's Hand-Written Letters: A Heartwarming Bollywood Tradition

Amitabh Bachchan, known for playing the famous ‘Angry Young Man’ in movies, is also known as one of the kindest actors in Bollywood. Even in today’s digital world, he prefers to show love and appreciation through hand-written letters and thoughtful gifts.

Many actors in the film industry have shared how special they felt after receiving Amitabh Bachchan’s hand-written letters. Whether it’s celebrating someone’s great performance or sending festival wishes, he always adds a personal touch that makes people feel valued.

Not long ago, actors Ranbir Kapoor and Nimrat Kaur received such letters. Ranbir got a letter after launching his sneaker brand. The letter read:

“Dearest Ranbir,
My gratitude for your gift, the ARKS sneakers. Love tried them on and wore them to work. They are rather nice and comfortable! All good wishes to you and your endeavour. Lots of love.”

Nimrat Kaur received a letter after her powerful performance in the movie Dasvi. Amitabh Bachchan wrote:

“We have hardly had any interactions or meetings. The last was a compliment I gave at a YRF event for the Cadbury Ad. But your work in Dasvi is exceptional — the nuances, everything! My deep admiration and congratulations.”

Recently, in a podcast called Lol Factory hosted by Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiyaa, actor Manish Paul also shared his experience. He said that every Diwali, he sends a gift hamper to Bachchan, and in return, the superstar sends back a detailed hand-written letter describing each item and thanking him warmly.
