After Pakistan launched drone attacks across India’s western border, India retaliated with targeted airstrikes on several Pakistan Air Force bases, including those in Rafiqui, Murid, Chaklala, and Rahim Yar Khan. India also targeted military sites in Sukkur, Chunia, a radar station in Pasrur, and the Sialkot aviation base.

During a government briefing, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, along with Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, addressed the situation. Singh explained that Pakistan had been provoking India with aggressive actions, using drones, long-range weapons, and fighter jets to target both civilian and military areas. While India successfully countered these threats, there was some damage to Indian air force stations in Udhampur, Pathankot, Adampur, and Bhuj.

Singh condemned Pakistan for attacking civilian locations, including a medical centre and a school. In response, the Indian Air Force carried out precise airstrikes only on military targets. These included command centers, radar sites, and weapon storage areas. The strikes on Pakistan’s military sites, such as Rafiqui, Murid, Chaklala, and others, were done with air-launched precision weapons. The aim was to limit any damage to non-military areas.
Singh also rejected false claims by Pakistan, including the destruction of India’s air defense system and other military facilities. She said these reports were completely false.

On the ground, Pakistan’s military has been shelling civilian areas along the Line of Control (LoC). However, Singh confirmed that India’s military has responded effectively and proportionately to these actions. There have also been signs that Pakistan is moving its troops forward, suggesting they may want to escalate the situation. Despite this, India’s armed forces remain on high alert, committed to not escalating the conflict unless Pakistan provokes further.
Singh also shared images showing that Pakistan’s claims about destroying Indian airbases were false.
