Kiara Advani is celebrating her 34th birthday today, and this year is even more special as it’s her first birthday as a mom. She and her husband, actor Sidharth Malhotra, recently welcomed a baby girl earlier this month. As they begin this exciting new chapter in life, let’s take a look back at how their love story began.
How Did Kiara and Sidharth Meet?
On a 2023 episode of Karan Johar’s chat show, the filmmaker revealed how the couple first met. During that episode, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra were guests.
Karan shared that after finishing the shoot for the movie ‘Lust Stories’, he went to a birthday party at his friend Amrit’s house. Kiara had also been shooting an intense scene for the film that day and came to the party with Karan, Vicky Kaushal, and Neha Dhupia.
Sidharth wasn’t supposed to come, but Karan invited him, and he decided to show up—which, according to Karan, was unusual for Sid. That party turned out to be the first time Kiara and Sidharth met each other.
When Varun mentioned that Kiara is now Sid’s wife, Sid responded casually, “It’s fine. I’m not offended. She did shoot it,” referring to her scene in Lust Stories.
Karan added that he didn’t plan their meeting; it just happened naturally. He called it an “eventuality.”
What Are They Working on Now?
Kiara will be seen in the film ‘War 2’, which releases on August 14, 2025. The movie also stars Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, and is directed by Ayan Mukerji.
