Indian cinema is gearing up for an exciting Eid weekend with two major releases—Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan and Salman Khan’s Sikandar. L2: Empuraan, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, will hit theatres on March 27, while Sikandar, directed by A.R. Murugadoss, will release on March 30.
Addressing the box office clash, Prithviraj Sukumaran clarified that there is no competition between the two films. He wished Sikandar great success, saying, “Salman Khan is one of the biggest stars in the country. I hope his movie becomes a blockbuster too.

Sikandar, on the other hand, is an action-packed film directed by A.R. Murugadoss, known for Ghajini and Thuppakki. It is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, marking his reunion with Salman Khan after their 2014 blockbuster Kick. The film also features Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, and Kajal Aggarwal, with Salman returning in a high-energy mass-action role.
