The film ‘Saiyaara’, starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has made a powerful start at the box office. It is turning out to be one of the biggest opening movies of 2025, even though it features debut actors.
By Friday afternoon itself, Saiyaara had already collected ₹6.27 crore at the Indian box office, according to Sacnilk. This is a better opening than many big-budget films this year. Thanks to great word of mouth, strong direction by Mohit Suri, and impressive performances by the lead actors, the film is expected to cross the ₹10 crore mark by the end of its first day.

Compared to other major films like Chhaava, Raid 2, Sikandar, and Housefull 5, Saiyaara has done better in most parts of India—except for some regions in Maharashtra like Mumbai, CP, and Nizam where Chhaava had a stronger start.
What makes Saiyaara stand out is its appeal to the youth. It’s a full-on romantic love story with a hit song, something audiences have missed lately. While most movies take time to attract viewers during the day, Saiyaara had packed shows right from the morning. College students and young audiences showed up in big numbers, making the film a hit from its very first show.
The movie also brings a nostalgic vibe, reminding viewers of the popular romantic films from the early 2000s, especially those starring Emraan Hashmi. This emotional and musical connection is helping the film perform well.
