A tragic explosion hit a chemical factory in Telangana on Monday. The blast happened at Sigachi Chemical Industry in Pashamylaram, located in the Sangareddy district. A reactor blew up inside the factory, throwing workers nearly 100 meters away. Many were caught in nearby tents as flames spread fast.
It was supposed to be a normal workday. But instead, the sky filled with black smoke, screams echoed, and a fire started raging inside the plant.
10 Lives Lost, Many Still Fighting for Survival
According to the police, at least 10 workers died on the spot. Several others were badly hurt. Some are in critical condition and have been taken to local hospitals for emergency treatment.
Locals say the explosion was so loud that windows rattled in nearby buildings. Panic spread quickly across the area.

As the fire spread, 11 fire engines reached the factory to bring the situation under control. Firefighters are still working hard to stop the flames and rescue anyone trapped inside. The rescue team is checking every part of the site.
Officials say it may take hours to fully control the fire. Relief operations are going on in full swing.
Why Did the Explosion Happen?
So far, the cause of the blast is not confirmed. Experts say it might be due to chemical overheating or a technical fault in the reactor. Authorities have started an investigation.
There have been past safety complaints against similar factories in the area. Locals have raised concerns before, but action was never taken.
Locals Shocked, Anger Rising
People living near the factory are in shock. Many are angry and demand strict action. “We’ve warned about safety before. This could’ve been avoided,” said one local resident.
This incident again raises questions about factory safety laws in Telangana and across India.
What Next for Telangana?
The Telangana government has promised full support to the victims’ families. They’ve also ordered a probe. But many ask—will this change anything?
If factory safety is not taken seriously, this won’t be the last disaster. Lives cannot be treated like they are cheap.
