VinFast is here. The Vietnamese electric car giant has opened bookings for its VF6 and VF7 SUVs in India. This move shows VinFast is serious about India’s EV game. You can now pre-book these EVs for just ₹21,000. And yes, the booking amount is fully refundable.
The bookings opened today across all VinFast showrooms and on their official site — VinFastAuto.in. Both models will officially launch in August, right after VinFast inaugurates its new factory in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. Deliveries will begin after that.

Made in India, for India
VinFast VF6 and VF7 will be locally assembled at the upcoming plant in Thoothukudi. This is not just about sales — it’s a bold signal. VinFast is betting big on India as a future EV hub, not just a customer base. And that’s a big deal.
What’s Inside the VinFast VF7?
The VF7 is a modern SUV with a premium look and bold features. It comes with:
- A large touchscreen
- Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System)
- Panoramic glass roof
- Connected car features
- Wireless charging
- Signature LED lights
It’s a tech-loaded EV for the city-smart, style-first crowd.
And the VinFast VF6?
The VF6 is more family-focused but doesn’t compromise on style or features. It offers:
- Premium interiors
- Level 2 ADAS
- Panoramic roof
- Signature lighting
- Smart infotainment and connected features
It’s perfect for those who want comfort and tech, without going too flashy.
What’s the Price?
Prices are not official yet, but here’s what’s expected:
- VinFast VF6: Around ₹25 lakh
- VinFast VF7: Between ₹30–35 lakh
For EVs packed with such features, the price sounds pretty competitive.
What VinFast Says
Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia, said, “India is ready for clean mobility. The love we got at Bharat Mobility Global Expo showed us that. Our VF6 and VF7 are designed to meet Indian needs and we believe they will inspire confidence in EV buyers.”
VinFast isn’t here to test waters. They’re jumping in. And with that ₹21,000 refundable booking, Indian buyers have an easy way to try something bold and different.
