What Delhi Schools Are Doing This Ambedkar Jayanti Will Leave You Inspired!

On the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that all government schools in the city will now hold special Assembly Sessions to teach students about the life, struggles, and contributions of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

While flagging off a government-organised Walkathon at the Delhi Legislative Assembly, the Chief Minister said that this event is not just a simple walk, but a strong way to spread Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s message of equality, justice, and rights to every citizen.

She said that Ambedkar Jayanti is not only celebrated in India, but also across the world as a festival of equality. “Baba Saheb Ambedkar doesn’t belong to one community—he belongs to the whole nation. His vision should guide us in building a united and progressive India,” said CM Gupta.

Calling Ambedkar the Architect of Modern India, she praised his role in creating the Indian Constitution, which gives equal rights to all 1.4 billion Indians today. She said Dr. Ambedkar was not only a great legal mind but also a leader who made equality, liberty, and justice real for everyone.

The Chief Minister promised that the Delhi government will live by Ambedkar’s values—not just talk about them. This includes giving equal access to education, better healthcare, and a dignified life for all citizens.

She also announced that Ambedkar Jayanti will now be celebrated in Delhi for 15 days, instead of just one day. The aim is to truly honour Baba Saheb’s legacy through actions that reflect his ideals.
