Gujarat shares a long border of 508 kilometers with Pakistan. During the recent four-day conflict, Pakistan used drones to attack some parts of Gujarat, including Bhuj. But the Indian forces successfully stopped these attacks.

What Rajnath Singh said in Jammu and Kashmir

On Thursday, Rajnath Singh visited Jammu and Kashmir, which was badly affected by the conflict. He asked if Pakistan’s nuclear weapons are safe. He told the United Nations’ International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that Pakistan’s nuclear weapons should be closely watched.

He said, “The whole world has seen how carelessly Pakistan threatened India. From Srinagar, I ask if nuclear weapons are safe with such a country. I think Pakistan’s nuclear weapons should be under the supervision of IAEA.”

Singh also talked about terrorists attacking tourists in Pahalgam because of their religion. He praised the Indian forces for responding by targeting terrorists based on their actions, not religion. He said, “Terrorists killed innocent people by asking their religion. But you fought back by looking at what they did.”

This was Rajnath Singh’s first visit to Jammu and Kashmir since a recent military operation called Operation Sindoor. He checked the security situation near the Line of Control and the International Border and met with army personnel there.
