Iran must make a deal immediately — that’s the message from former US President Donald Trump. His warning came after Israeli airstrikes struck Iran hard on Friday, killing Iran’s highest-ranking military officers and destroying key nuclear sites.
The attacks were a dramatic escalation in a growing conflict. Iran called it a “declaration of war.” Trump insisted Iran should “make a deal, before there is nothing left.”

Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called the attack a “declaration of war” and demanded the UN Security Council intervene immediately.

The Israeli Air Force struck nearly 100 targets in Iran, including its main nuclear enrichment site in Natanz and the leadership of Iran’s military. Iran’s highest-ranking commander, Armed Forces Chief of Staff Mohammad Bagheri, and the head of the Revolutionary Guards, Hossein Salami, were killed in the attack.
In a dramatic move, Iran’s Supreme Leader quickly appointed new commanders and vowed revenge.

The USA made it clear it wasn’t involved in the attack, although Trump said in a Fox News interview that he had knowledge of the strikes in advance. President Joe Biden’s administration called on Iran not to attack US interests in the region and insisted it was not responsible for the attack’s consequences.
