Cristiano Ronaldo has done it again. Just weeks after hinting at leaving, the football legend signed a jaw-dropping new contract with Al-Nassr, locking in his stay till 2027.

The new deal? It’s absolutely massive. Cristiano Ronaldo is now set to earn more than Rs 2000 crore per year, making it one of the most expensive player contracts in football history.

From Goodbye Post to Record-Breaking Deal

Not long ago, Ronaldo shocked fans by posting, “This chapter is over,” after Al-Nassr finished third in the Saudi Pro League without any trophies. Many thought he was heading back to Europe.

But that changed fast. Al-Nassr confirmed Ronaldo’s stay on social media, and the details of the new contract are even more mind-blowing than expected.

What’s in Ronaldo’s Mega Deal?

According to Talksport, here’s what Cristiano Ronaldo’s new Al-Nassr contract includes:

Rs 2000 crore per year salary (approx. £178M)

£24.5M signing bonus (grows to £38M next year)

Bonuses:

  • £8M if Al-Nassr win the Saudi League
  • £5M for Asian Champions League win
  • £4M for Golden Boot

15% ownership of Al-Nassr (worth £33M)

Goal bonus: £80K per goal (rises 20% next year)

Assist bonus: £40K per assist (also rises)

Private jet expenses: £4M covered by the club

Sponsorship deals worth £60M promised

Why Saudi Wants Ronaldo to Stay

Ronaldo is more than just a player in Saudi Arabia. Since he joined in 2023, he’s become the face of Saudi football.

A source from Saudi’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) told AFP:

“Ronaldo opened the door for elite players to come here.”

And it’s true. After Ronaldo’s move, stars like Benzema, Kante, and Neymar followed.

A Big Win for Al-Nassr and Saudi Football

Even though Al-Nassr hasn’t won a league title with Ronaldo yet, the club and country are clearly all-in. They see him as a long-term asset, not just a short-term star.

And now, with Ronaldo staying till 2027, the Saudi Pro League continues its bold push to become a global football hub.
