Renting a 2BHK flat in this part of town can cost around ₹1 lakh per month.
But just a few narrow lanes away, there’s another side to Indiranagar — one that most people don’t see. This part is home to domestic workers, barbers, drivers, waiters, and delivery people. These workers keep the fancy part of Indiranagar running smoothly, yet they live in small rooms with tin roofs, shared toilets, and often have no steady water supply.
The post says, “There are two Indiranagars. One lives in luxury. The other lives in the shadows of it. They share a PIN code. But not a life.” The two groups see each other at traffic signals and service entrances, but rarely interact. Still, the luxury life couldn’t exist without the hardworking people behind the scenes.
