U.S. President Donald Trump spent his Saturday playing golf at his resort in Scotland, while hundreds of people across the United Kingdom protested his visit.
Trump was seen golfing with his son Eric and the U.S. Ambassador to Britain, Warren Stephens, at the Turnberry golf course. Trump’s family bought this famous resort in 2008, and it is now a key part of their global business.
His visit to Scotland is just before important meetings with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. They are expected to discuss trade between the U.S. and Europe.

In Edinburgh, many protestors gathered near the U.S. Consulate. They shouted slogans and called Trump “unwelcome.” Some also criticized Prime Minister Starmer for recently signing a trade deal with the U.S.
This new trade deal is meant to protect British products from high American taxes. However, some opposition groups believe it gives in too much to American demands.

When Trump arrived in Scotland on Friday night, he made strong comments against Europe’s immigration policies. He said, “This immigration is killing Europe. You better get your act together. You’re not going to have Europe anymore,” according to the Associated Press.
