A terrible road accident happened on Wednesday evening near Jejuri on the Jejuri-Morgaon road in Pune, Maharashtra. Nine people lost their lives, including a six-year-old boy and a woman. The accident involved a car and a pickup truck.

What Happened?

The crash took place around 6:45 pm outside a hotel. The hotel owner and his staff were unloading a refrigerator from a pick-up truck parked outside the hotel. At that moment, a speeding car with six passengers suddenly lost control, veered off the road, and crashed into the pick-up truck.

According to the police, five people standing near the pick-up truck – the hotel owner, the pick-up driver, and three helpers – were hit and killed. Four people from the car, including the young boy and a woman, also died. Two more passengers from the car, a woman and her daughter, were seriously injured and taken to the hospital.
